Copper Beech (Fagus sylvatica purpurea) features stunning purple leaves that turn a rich golden-copper in autumn and stay throughout the winter, offering year-round privacy. This premium variety of Beech adds a unique, striking element to any hedge, especially when mixed with green Beech.

Key Benefits:

  • Beautiful purple foliage that turns copper in fall

  • Retains leaves all winter for extra privacy

  • Grows 1-1.5ft (30-45cm) per year

  • Ideal for creating immediate eye-level privacy

  • Best planted in a double row for a thicker, fuller hedge

Planting & Care:

  • Plant 45cm apart in a single row, or 60cm in a double row

  • Thrives in well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged areas

  • Water regularly during the first year, especially in dry months (we recommend a leaky hose for efficient watering)

Why Choose Our Copper Beech Hedging:

  • Pot-grown, 5-6ft tall (150-180cm), in a 7lt pot for faster establishment

  • Premium quality compared to bare-root hedging
