Leylandii 6-7ft (180-210cm) in a 10lt pot (Second Rate Quality)

These are second rate trees that will not be suitable for a smart formal hedge in your garden. They are all slightly bare at the base of the tree over the bottom foot or so which may or may not come back with new green growth. Some of them will also have crooked stems and so are not completely straight.  The price reflects this. They will be highly suitable for planting screening trees but not to clip as a formal hedge where the bottom section needs to look good. We sell lots of these to farmers and industrial estates who are looking for general screening without needing it to look perfect.

Leylandii are a highly popular fast growing evergreen and these plants will put on 2-3ft (60-90cm) each year if left untrimmed and so it will not take long for these plants to produce a Leylandii hedge at the required height to give eye level privacy.

Once the plants have reached their desired height, we recommend that it be trimmed at that height which will both encourage side growth and restrict upward growth to a manageable amount. A leylandii hedge needs to be trimmed annually in the spring or autumn.
