Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea', commonly known as Copper Beech, is a classic deciduous hedging plant renowned for its rich copper-purple foliage and dense growth habit. Like traditional Green Beech, it often retains its dry leaves through winter, providing valuable additional screening during the colder months.

For best results, plant approximately 45-60cm apart when creating a hedge and water regularly during the first growing season to encourage strong root establishment. Once established, Copper Beech is hardy, long-lived and relatively low maintenance.
