Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) Tree 7ft (200-225cm) Rootballed
Scots Pine is a native popular conifer to the UK, grown both commercially for its timber value but also found widespread in gardens for amenity value with its green needles and orange-brown upper level bark. Its full latin name is Pinus sylvestris.
They thrive best in lighter sandy soils that are free draining.
These trees are supplied rootballed which is to say that they are field grown trees dug up with a ball of soil around their roots which is wrapped in hessian. They should be planted in the hessians which is biodegradeable and will quickly rot away whilst new root growth can easily push through the hessians.
