It forms a dense semi-evergreen hedge with oval shaped green leaves and produces white highly scented flowers in the spring and looks good in formal situations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt can be grown as a small hedge of 3-4ft (90-120cm) in height but will be equally happy if grown as a taller hedge of 6-7ft (180-210cm) to give that all important eye level privacy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA Privet hedge will need to be trimmed annually in the spring or autumn as you would with any other hedge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe recommend planting these Privet at 1.5ft (45cm) apart but you could plant them further apart if you are prepared to wait a short while for them to fill out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrivet is tolerant of most soil types although it does not like waterlogged soil.
