Holly 3ft (90cm) in a 3lt pot
Healthy, Fast-Establishing Plants
These Holly plants (Ilex Aquifolium) come in 3-litre pots and are already 3ft tall, ensuring a strong start and quick establishment after planting.
Traditional & Versatile Hedging
Commonly known as English Holly, this native UK plant has been cultivated for centuries. It can be trimmed into a dense, prickly formal hedge or left to grow naturally for an informal look. Holly also responds well to heavy pruning, making it ideal for rejuvenating older hedges.
Attractive Year-Round Appeal
Featuring glossy, prickly green leaves and vibrant red berries, Holly is a festive favourite often used in Christmas wreaths. It also provides excellent shelter and food for wild birds during colder months.
Growth & Planting Recommendations
Holly grows steadily at 6-9 inches per year. For best results, plant in single rows spaced 1ft (30cm) apart or double rows at 1.5ft (45cm) for a faster visual barrier. The product images show plants spaced at 45cm for an idea of immediate coverage, but closer spacing is fine for quicker impact.
Growing Conditions
Tolerant of most soil types, Holly prefers well-drained ground and does not thrive in waterlogged soil. It grows well in full sun or partial shade, making it suitable for a variety of garden spots.
