Holly 2ft (60cm) in a 3lt pot
Our Holly (Ilex Aquifolium) plants are grown in 3-litre pots to ensure quick establishment and strong growth after planting. These traditional English Holly plants, native to the UK, are currently 2ft (60cm) tall and ready to create beautiful, evergreen hedges.
Key Features:
-
Classic & Versatile Hedge: Can be trimmed into a dense, formal hedge with prickly green foliage or left to grow more naturally. Easily rejuvenated by cutting back older hedges.
-
Seasonal Appeal: Glossy, dark green leaves paired with vibrant red berries make Holly a festive favourite for wreaths and decorations.
-
Wildlife Friendly: Provides shelter and nesting sites for wild birds, and the berries offer valuable winter food.
-
Growth Rate: Holly grows moderately at 6–9 inches (15–23cm) per year.
-
Planting Guidance:
-
For a single hedge row, plant 1ft (30cm) apart.
-
For a fuller, quicker screen, plant in double rows spaced 1.5ft (45cm) apart.
-
Our product photos show plants at 45cm spacing to illustrate instant impact, but closer planting is fine for faster coverage.
-
-
Growing Conditions: Tolerates most soil types except waterlogged ground; thrives in full sun or partial shade.
